Who we are

Encore Mobility provides Android Enterprise device management software and services. For data we collect via our websites, billing, marketing, and account administration, Encore acts as the data controller. For data we process on behalf of our customers inside the EMM platform ("Customer Data"), the customer is the data controller and Encore acts as a data processor/service provider.

Scope

This policy applies to: (a) visitors to our websites; (b) users of our console and admin apps; and (c) data processed from managed devices when configured by a customer administrator.

Information we process

Account and billing

• Admin and user details such as name, email address, organization, role, authentication identifiers, and preferences.
• Billing contact information, transaction records, and subscription metadata.

Console usage and support

• Audit logs and administrative actions taken in the console (for accountability and security).
• Support tickets and communications you send to us (email content, attachments you provide).
• Service telemetry and crash diagnostics to maintain and improve reliability.

Device and fleet management data (Customer-configured)

Depending on your organization’s configuration and Android Enterprise capabilities, we may process:

• Device identifiers and attributes (for example: Android ID, serial number, model, manufacturer, OS version, enrollment state, compliance status). Access to hardware identifiers like IMEI may be restricted by Android version/OEM policies.
• Policy assignments, configuration profiles, kiosk/lockdown settings, and compliance results.
• Application inventory and install/update status for managed apps (including Managed Google Play data).
• Network-related settings (for example: managed Wi‑Fi configurations) but not the contents of network traffic.
• Location data if your administrator enables location features, collected at the frequency your admin configures.

BYOD and work profile: When using Android work profile, Encore only manages the work container. We do not collect personal app data, photos, messages, or personal browsing history from the private side of the device.

How we use information

• To provide, operate, and secure the EMM service, including device enrollment, policy application, app deployment, and support.
• To authenticate users, maintain audit trails, and prevent abuse or fraud.
• To respond to inquiries and provide customer support.
• To bill for services, manage subscriptions, and meet legal obligations.
• To analyze service performance and improve features and reliability.

Legal bases (EEA/UK)

Where Encore acts as controller, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases: performance of a contract, legitimate interests (for example, securing the service and improving it), consent (where required, such as certain cookies/analytics), and compliance with legal obligations. Where Encore acts as processor, we process Customer Data strictly under the customer’s instructions and our data processing agreement.

Retention

• Account data: retained for the life of the account and for a limited period thereafter to comply with legal and accounting requirements.
• Device data: removed within 30 days after a device is unenrolled or deleted by an administrator, subject to backup cycles.
• Audit and security logs: typically retained for up to 180 days unless a longer period is required for security, compliance, or legal reasons.
• Support records: retained as needed to resolve issues and for our legitimate interests in improving the service.

Sharing and disclosures

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with:

• Service providers and subprocessors that host infrastructure, deliver email, provide analytics/telemetry, or support operations—bound by contract to appropriate confidentiality and data protection obligations.
• Google services integral to Android Enterprise (for example, Managed Google Play) where required to fulfill device/app management requested by the customer.
• Authorities or third parties when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or reorganization.

International transfers

Your information may be processed in the UK, the EEA, and other countries where we or our service providers operate. When transferring personal data internationally, we implement appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, as applicable.

Security

We employ industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit, access controls based on least privilege, multi-factor authentication for administrative access, logging and monitoring, and vulnerability management. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we continually work to improve our protections.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal data, and to data portability. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. California residents may exercise rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out by contacting us at the email above.

Cookies and analytics

We use essential cookies to operate the site and minimal analytics/telemetry to understand service performance. Where required, we obtain consent. You can manage preferences in your browser or device settings.

Children

Our services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
